Germany-based The MESH Group has partnered with Brookfield to acquire six newly constructed Unity Living-branded housing assets across Sweden and Finland. The portfolio includes properties in Stockholm, Malmö, Helsinki, and Tampere.

UNITY is designed primarily for long-term living as a studio hotel solution, combining the comfort of residential accommodation with hotel-style services and coworking facilities. The concept caters to students, young professionals, and business travelers seeking flexibility, community, and convenience in urban environments.

UNITY Tampere, opened in summer 2022, is located in the renovated Pyynikin Trikoo building, a former clothing factory that has been transformed into a vibrant mixed-use complex. The property includes 148 studio apartments and 75 workstations, along with a small brewery, café, gym, sauna facilities, and laundry services, creating a full-service environment for long-term residents.

UNITY Helsinki, situated in Jätkäsaari, offers 105 furnished loft and studio apartments on floors 2–7. The lobby’s co-working area provides 46 workstations, and the property features a privately rentable rooftop bar, a café, saunas, a gym, and other amenities that seamlessly blend work and leisure.

All assets were acquired from a fund managed by abrdn and were developed in co-operation with Fokus Nordic. The acquisition aligns with The MESH Group and Brookfield’s strategy to expand their Nordic footprint and develop a unified platform for high-quality, flexible living.
