Deka Immobilien has acquired the Barona Avialogis logistics property in Vantaa from a fund managed by Aberdeen Investments. The property has been acquired for the German open-ended real estate fund Deka-ImmobilienEuropa.
Barona Avialogis is located in the Aviapolis logistics area, close to Helsinki Airport and Ring Road III. Completed in 2022, the asset comprises 32,947 m² of lettable space and 167 parking spaces.
The logistics centre is fully let on a long-term basis to Barona Varastopalvelut Oy. The Finnish third-party logistics provider offers warehousing and e-commerce logistics services to companies in Finland and internationally and uses Barona Avialogis as its central logistics hub.
The building has been designed to support modern logistics operations. It has a clear height of approximately 12 metres, 37 loading docks and extensive manoeuvring and loading areas. Specially equipped areas allow for the storage and handling of hazardous goods. The space can also be subdivided to accommodate different logistics requirements. Barona has invested in automated storage systems at the property.
Barona Avialogis meets high ESG standards. It has achieved a BREEAM International New Construction Excellent rating and an EPC rating of A. The property is equipped with photovoltaic and geothermal systems, while 24 of its 167 parking spaces have EV charging points.
