
Sponda has sold Shopping Centre Elo in Ylöjärvi to Balder. Elo is the fourth-largest shopping centre in Pirkanmaa after Ideapark, Ratina and Koskikeskus, and it was completed in 2009. The property has approximately 24,800 m² of leasable area and serves as a commercial hub in its area.
The shopping centre is home to more than 20 companies and offers a broad mix of grocery retail as well as specialist stores focused on fashion, home furnishings and leisure. Its anchor tenants are K-Citymarket, Jula, JYSK and McDonald’s. The centre also includes restaurants, cafés and a pharmacy.
Elo is located in Ylöjärvi, about 15 km from Tampere, and benefits from good accessibility by both car and bus. The property also has more than 800 parking spaces.
The shopping centre has been awarded a BREEAM In-Use Very Good environmental certification. It operates with 100% emission-free energy, including wind power and renewable district heating. In addition, a rooftop solar power plant generates renewable energy for the property’s own use.
