Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt has acquired the Arken property from the Åbo Akademi University Foundation. The property, located at Tehtaankatu 2 in Turku’s Science Park, has a total floor area of over 15,000 m².
Arken is leased to Åbo Akademi for 20 years and houses the university’s Faculty of Humanities. The facilities include teaching spaces, offices, a library, and an underground parking garage with 59 spaces. The transaction price was around 43 million euros, corresponding to approximately 2,850 €/m².
Turun Teknologiakiinteistöt operates in the Turku region, focusing on properties that support science, education, and innovation. The company’s largest shareholder is Hemsö, a real estate investment company specializing in social infrastructure, which holds a 52.1 percent ownership stake. The other owners are the City of Turku and Turku University of Applied Sciences.
