CapMan has acquired Helsinki Sailors Home, a premium residential property in Helsinki’s prestigious Katajanokka district, from the Finnish Seamen’s Service Bureau (MEPA). Completed in 2017, the modern building features 38 high-quality rental apartments and blends with the area’s historic maritime character.
The property offers underground parking with shared electric vehicles, EV charging points, spacious storage for residents, and a communal laundry facility. Luxury features include a rooftop sauna with sea views and a residents-only gym.
Previously owned by MEPA, an organization dedicated to supporting Finland’s seafarers since 1973, the property will now join CapMan Living’s Leona rental apartment brand. As part of its long-term sustainability strategy, CapMan aims to improve the building’s energy efficiency, targeting a BREEAM In-Use Excellent certification and an EPC rating of A, ensuring it meets high environmental standards while offering modern, eco-conscious living in one of Helsinki’s most desirable neighborhoods.
