Finavia Group’s CFO Niclas Köhler has been appointed CEO of AVIA Real Estate, a real estate investment and development company operating near Helsinki Airport. AVIA Real Estate, fully owned by Finavia since January 2025, manages a portfolio that includes offices, logistics facilities, and hotel properties strategically located in the airport area. Köhler, who has served as Finavia’s CFO and Executive Board member since 2017, will transition to his new role by the end of April.
The current CEO of AVIA Real Estate, Ilkka Pitkänen, who has led the company since 2021, will step down to pursue new opportunities outside the organization.
Finavia is the operator of Finland’s airports and is responsible for their maintenance, development, and smooth operations. It plays a critical role in ensuring international and domestic connectivity for Finland.
