Nrep, the real estate investment arm of Urban Partners, has partnered with Finnish care home specialist Plus Hoivakiinteistöt to develop and operate high-quality, sustainable care homes across Finland. The joint venture will invest €400 million over three years, marking Nrep’s largest commitment to the sector.
The initiative will begin with eleven care homes worth €70 million, with further projects exceeding €100 million already in negotiation. Facilities will be located near growth centers with strong transport links and will incorporate sustainable solutions like geothermal heating, solar panels, and low-emission materials.
Driven by Finland’s ageing population—set to double the over-80 demographic by 2040—and a shortage of modern care facilities, the investment addresses a pressing need.
